This outstanding weight to strength ratio is achieved by CeraMAG, a ceramic coated magnesium alloy. CeraMAG is lighter and provides more vibration dampening than aluminum. The stems are lightweight: just 107 grams for a 33mm long stem, 109 grams for 40mm, and 117 grams for the 50mm long version.
Because it is likely that you will want to combine this stem with an equally-impressive carbon bar, Leatt took care that the zero-gap faceplate and 210˚ handlebar wrap spread the clamping force evenly, reducing the risk of damaging the handlebar.
